There are two ways to advertise on The Real Costa Rica

Plan 1 - Advertise By the Page

This allows you to pick any single page available on our web site, and we will place your ad on that page. 

Your ad can appear either on the right side of the page or in the center of the page (more exposure). Where the ad appears depends on its size.

Right Side

Ad size 125 x 125 pixels. Price is just $20.00 per month per page. There is a three month minimum ($60.00) as it takes that long to determine if an ad is working well for you.

Ad size 120 X 240 pixels. Price is just $30.00 per month per page. There is a three month minimum ($90.00) as it takes that long to determine if an ad is working well for you.

Ad size 120 X 600 pixels. Price is just $45.00 per month per page. There is a three month minimum ($135.00) as it takes that long to determine if an ad is working well for you.

Center Placed Ads

Center placed ads are in the middle of the page in the text content of that page. You get better exposure as readers see your ad while reading the page.

Ad size 468 X 60 pixels. Price is just $50.00 per month per page. There is a three month minimum ($150.00) as it takes that long to determine if an ad is working well for you.

Ad size 728 x 90 pixels. Price is just $60.00 per month per page. There is a three month minimum ($180.00) as it takes that long to determine if an ad is working well for you.

For those advertisers who wish minimum exposure and minimum cost, this plan is the best.  It requires you to choose carefully which page(s) is best to use. 

If you wish to advertise on more than one page, zone advertising may work well. Please see our zone rates as they can save you a lot of money per page per ad.

Plan 2 - Advertise By the Zone (best deal!)

We have currently organized the web site into eleven zones sorted by topic.  Those zones appear in the chart below.  Your ad will appear on ALL pages within that zone so long as it is a ad-eligible page.  (Most are).

For the advertiser who wishes the most exposure for the least cost per ad, this is clearly the option to choose.  This Plan is available in blocks of three months or six months.  Discounts are offered for six month contracts paid in full at billing or for multi-zone contracts.  See Discounts.

Example 1:

Zone: Real Estate

Real Estate currently has 6 pages (if we add more, your ad is automatically included!)

Cost for the Real Estate Zone  with 6 pages is $35.00 per month.

Your cost per ad (125 X 125) = 35.00/6 pages = just $5.33 per ad per month.
 

Example 2:

Zone: Travel

The Travel Zone currently has about 32 pages (if we add more, your ad is automatically included!)

Cost for the Travel Zone with 32 pages is $90.00 per month.

Your cost per ad (125 X 125) = $90.00 / 32 pages = just $2.81 per ad per month.

Discounts

• Any advertiser who chooses any 2 zones will receive a 10% discount.
   
• Any advertiser who chooses any 3 zones will receive a 20% discount
   
• Any advertiser may buy ALL ZONES for a flat fee of $300.00 per month. (125 X 125 only)
   
• Free Web Hosting: Any advertiser who buys and pays for any zone that contains EIGHT pages or more for a ONE YEAR period can receive FREE web hosting for one year at TicoSites.com.  Plans include 100MB of space, 10 GB transfer, MySQL database, 30 email boxes, free webmail and stats. Prepayment is required for free web hosting. This can save you a LOT of money!
   
• Discount and promotions cannot be combined.

Be SURE to include:

• Your full name
• Your complete address
• The link to your web site
• The zone you are interested in, or if a single page, the web address (URL) of that page(s).

Advertising hints!

It is a proven fact in web marketing that if your web site receives a lot of traffic or click-throughs from sites such as ours, but you are not getting the business you expect, you should examine the content and the appearance of your web site.  Please don't think we are placing the burden on you.  This is just a fact of Internet marketing

Make sure your web site is clear, looks professional, is easy to navigate and easy to understand.  Make sure each page downloads fast at modem speeds as much of the world still uses a modem to connect.

Make sure your visitor clearly can see what you have to offer, your pricing, and most important, how to order or to contact you.  Use high quality graphics.  Make sure each page loads quickly.  Check to see that your web site is not cluttered and hard to read or understand.  Ask someone not in your business to give you their opinion as to all of the above.
